Who would have thought that taking the A-train could change your life?
That's exactly what happened on April 13, 2003, when we were waiting for an uptown A-train to our neighborhood of Washington Heights. We struck up a conversation on the ride, and the rest as they say is history (well, at least our history).

We were both pursuing careers in the performing arts and, like most starving artists, we made ends meet by working in the restaurant business as waiters. While we continued to find varied success in the performing arts, we couldn't help discovering a passion and appreciation for great food, as we both had worked in some of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Eventually, our life dreams changed once we knew we intended to spend the rest of our lives together. So we set out to find our true calling in a place worlds away from the taxis, trains and tourists of NYC. In the Winter of 2006, we stumbled upon the beautifully quaint town of West Brookfield, Massachusetts, and a new chapter in our lives began.

Gallons of paint, stacks of sandpaper, loads of inspiration from home improvement shows and two-and-a-half years of renovations later, we opened The Dragonfly Bed and Breakfast in 2009. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and providing you with an unforgettable Old New England experience, by way of the Big Apple.
